According to local media, a key collaboration involves a network of multi-stop routes connecting the three regions, forming what authorities term the “Golden Tourism Triangle.” The partnership will leverage existing policies, including Hainan’s visa-free entry arrangements for travellers from 77 countries. Under additional regulations, foreign tourists from countries with diplomatic ties to China are allowed entry to Hainan visa-free for up to 144 hours — provided they first arrive in Hong Kong or Macau and join a tour group.  jan25 Sands China Ltd has introduced the “Alipay Tap!” payment service to its Macau integrated resorts under a new partnership with Alipay and Macau Pass. “Alipay Tap!” is an innovative payment service introduced by Alipay across mainland China in July 2024, allowing to simply unlock their phones and tap the merchant’s payment device to complete a transaction, without having to open the Alipay app. As part of the first phase rollout of the three-party partnership, “Alipay Tap!” now covers 300 merchants across The Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao, The Londoner Macao and Sands Macao, including hotels, dining, shopping and ticketing, Sands announced on Tuesday. This information was provided in response to an inquiry from the Times. The area includes several land parcels near the Rotunda Flor de Lotus, between the Macao Union Hospital and the developments of gaming concessionaires. In its response, the DSSCU cited the Urban Master Plan, stating: “According to the ‘Urban Master Plan of the Macau Special Administrative Region (2020-2040),’ the land in question is located in an area designated for commercial use. Since then, the venue has been closed and has not hosted any activities, with at least one concert previously announced to take place last month being canceled without justification. When the Times questioned the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) on the status of the venue and its program for this year, the IC noted only the previous words of IC president Deland Leong, who said that authorities had received many relevant applications on the sidelines of the Macao International Parade event.
