Sands China Ltd. and Guangdong-Macau Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology Industrial Park Development Co. Ltd. (GMTCM) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Friday to promote the integration of the Big Health tourism industry between Macau and Hengqin.
The agreement was formalised at the GMTCM Park in the Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone, aiming to leverage Macau’s strengths as a world centre for tourism and leisure alongside Hengqin’s expanding health sector resources, Sands China stated in a press release.
Both parties pledged to collaborate on joint initiatives in health and wellness tourism, including professional forums, industry exhibitions, and medical conferences, the gaming and integrated resort operator added. Plans include introducing new health tourism products and facilities at Sands China’s integrated resorts and the GMTCM Park, providing medical and wellness services to both local residents and tourists.
